Peter Daniel was born February 22, 1984 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Graduating Savannah Country Day School in 2002, he went to Davidson College to pursue a liberal arts education where an unveiled passion for abstract, visual expression would lead him to declare Studio Art as his major. Extensive world travel, a challenging urban service internship, and wonderfully-dense monastic retreats have been formative elements shaping his identity and vocations as artist and pastor--a word he customizes to mean: one who provides an open space in which to exchange vulnerability for some form of healing, however humble. His first year out of college, Peter Daniel appeased culinary interests working at Noble's restaurant in Charlotte, NC, providing the means to paint daily out of an extra bedroom in his apartment. He taught English, art, and computer science, among other subjects, in rural Bayonnais, Haiti during the 2007-2008 academic year, this time reviving an interest in medicine which has led him back to a premedical curriculum in Savannah, GA. He will apply to enter medical school in the fall of 2010.
